          Vietnam and China, close neighbors sharing geographical links, established diplomatic relations on January 18, 1950. They are currently "Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partners," bringing practical benefits to the peoples of both countries and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world. The cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Hong Kong and Macao has seen continuous positive development. Vietnam and Hong Kong have become important partners to each other in all fields, especially in economics, trade, and investment. The peoples of both sides share a long history of exchange and close ties.
